Privacy
Privacy, cookies & analytics.
Privacy notice for the SCC Nexus public website. SCC Nexus Limited is the organisation identified in the website footer. This page explains the principal information flows on this public site. The specialist Companies House service has its own separate privacy and access arrangements.
When you contact us
The SCC Nexus contact form collects your name, reply email address, enquiry category and message, with an optional project or page reference. We use this information to assess and respond to your request, correct published evidence when appropriate, maintain relevant correspondence and safeguard the service against abuse. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Our processing of ordinary enquiries is generally based on legitimate interests in operating and responding to the website, or on taking steps requested before a contract. Some legal, regulatory or privacy-rights requests may involve a legal obligation. The applicable basis depends on the circumstances of the enquiry.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R9TGM3SZ1B) is an optional audience-measurement service. The main SCC Nexus website is configured to load the Google Analytics tag only after you choose Allow analytics. You can reject it and continue using the public website. Advertising, advertising-user-data and personalisation consent remain denied in our website code.
Your choice is remembered in this browser using localStorage under sccnexus_analytics_consent. You can reopen the preference panel using the Cookie settings control in the footer, and you can clear stored website data in your browser. If you change your choice to decline, subsequent optional analytics collection is disabled through Google consent controls. Past activity already collected under a previous opt-in is not erased by changing this browser preference.
Security and third-party services
We use a hosting and email provider to operate this website and receive messages. The public contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-abuse service which verifies submissions. Google Analytics is used only after optional consent. These suppliers may process technical information needed to provide their services; review the applicable provider notices for details of their processing and international transfers.
Storage and retention
Contact enquiries and related messages are kept only for as long as necessary to answer and follow up the request, handle disputes or comply with relevant legal obligations. Different types of correspondence may need different retention periods. Do not use the general enquiry form for sensitive records without an agreed secure submission route.
Your rights and corrections
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can request information about personal data we hold through the secure contact form by selecting Privacy or accessibility. We may need to confirm identity before disclosing records. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Other SCC Nexus services
Protected workspaces, archived research and the operational Companies House system have additional data-handling rules and access controls. Information published as public-record research is not automatically an appropriate basis for identifying or profiling a private person.
